How to use an AP?
- Rinse and microwave the top and the base;
- Connect tubes to the air pump;
- Add 600ml autoclaved medium and antibiotics to the base;
- Inoculate the 600 ml culture medium with a 10 ml algal seed culture;
- Put the cover on;
- Plug in the air pump;
- Monitor the color change over a period of time of a day or several days;
- Refill a few ml culture medium daily;
- Unplug the air pump;
- Harvest algae by transferring 300ml culture to a bottle;
- Pour 300ml new culture medium into the base;
- Repeat step 5-10.
